About the Founder
Felicia Stanley, MBA, PMP®

Felicia Stanley did not begin her career with a project management title, she built one through two decades of showing up, standing out, and delivering results that spoke for themselves.
A proud graduate of Fayetteville State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science, Felicia launched her professional journey as a civil litigation coordinator at Southerland Law Firm, an experience that sharpened her ability to manage complexity, meet demands, deadlines, and communicate with precision under pressure. She soon transitioned into the telecommunications industry, joining Sprint/EMBARQ as a call center agent. What followed was a testament to the power of transferable skills. Recognized for her exceptional ability to lead, develop, and inspire others, Felicia advanced quickly, first as a team coach, then as a call center trainer. When the call center closed, corporate leadership saw what she had always possessed and bridged her into her first Junior Project Management role.
From that moment, Felicia never looked back. Over a remarkable 20-year tenure spanning Sprint/EMBARQ and CenturyLink/Lumen, she earned more than 10 progressive leadership positions across project management and business process improvement, building deep expertise across Telecommunications, Information Technology, Software Development, Finance, and Data Center environments. She became the professional that organizations trusted to lead complex, high-stakes initiatives from inception to delivery.
Committed to sharpening the skills she had spent years developing, Felicia pursued advanced academic and professional credentials, earning her MBA with a specialization in Project Management and a Certificate in Business Management, both from Capella University, alongside her Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute, SAFe® 5.1 and SAFe® 6 certifications from Scaled Agile, and Six Sigma certifications from VMEdu.
A published author, Felicia further cemented her thought leadership with the release of Mastering Project Management 101: Transferable Skills for Career Success , a practical guide designed to help professionals identify and leverage the project management skills they already possess.
Fueled by a deep sense of purpose, Felicia founded Vertex Consulting Group to partner with organizations seeking structured project delivery, governance, and strategic oversight, and Guidance Pro, LLC to ensure that professionals like her do not have to wait as long to recognize and own the skills already inside them.
